Privacy Policy for ClockMein

Last updated: 18 June 2026

ClockMein (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a time-tracking app for freelancers, operated by Miron Auslander. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and your choices. It applies to the Android app and the web version at clockmein.qzz.io. By using ClockMein you agree to this policy.

1. Information we handle

Account information. When you sign in, we use Google’s Firebase Authentication to create your account. Depending on how you sign in, this includes:

Data you create. The app stores the work-tracking information you enter: projects, clients, time entries, descriptions, dates and durations, and any hourly rates or earnings figures you choose to record.

Usage and diagnostic data. As described in Section 5, we collect pseudonymous usage analytics and crash-diagnostic data to operate and improve the app.

On-device settings. Preferences such as theme, currency, and onboarding status are stored locally on your device and are not part of your account data.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

3. Where your data is stored

Your account and time-tracking data are stored using Google Firebase services (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Data is held on Google’s secure servers and may be processed in data centres outside your country. Your data is scoped to your own account and is not accessible to other users. Google processes this data on our behalf; see Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to back up your data, ClockMein creates backup files (CSV exports) in your own Google Drive account, with your explicit permission granted at the time you use the feature. The app only creates and manages the backup files it generates for you; it does not read your other Drive files. You can delete these backups from your Google Drive at any time, and you can decline or revoke this permission without affecting the rest of the app.

5. Analytics and crash reporting

To understand how the app is used and to find and fix problems, ClockMein uses Google Firebase Analytics and Google Firebase Crashlytics:

This information is processed by Google on our behalf, and is not used for advertising or sold to anyone.

6. What we do not do

7. Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete account). Deleting your account permanently removes your time-tracking data and your authentication record from our systems. Backup files you previously saved to your own Google Drive remain under your control and can be deleted from Google Drive directly. You may also contact us (below) to request access to, or deletion of, your data.

8. Security

We rely on Google Firebase’s industry-standard security, including encryption in transit and access rules that restrict your data to your own authenticated account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children

ClockMein is intended for freelancers and working professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
